Presents from the Tooth Fairy

I must be ageing. Santa gave me White Strips for my teeth in my stocking this year. And lots of many other things too!
The week before Christmas was going well until my right foot swelled doubled to it's normal size. Not good timing. I was to have two of the busiest selling days at work and I could barely hobble along 10 feet. I was treating myself for athlete's foot and thought maybe a warm soak would relieve the itching. The following morning I woke up to red hot burning toes and a deformed right foot. Ugh!! I was pissed! So what does a hardheaded, go -getter type do? Get dressed and join the zoo at work. That was a big mistake. I couldn't stand the pain to put my designer heels on so I settled for black and white basketball shoes instead and hobbled along to work. Ouch!! Once I saw my boss I started balling and said I was so sorry. She kinda freaked out and demanded I go home and see a doctor. What an idea! To take care of myself! Anyways I worked a few hours and went home and saw a doctor. He prescribed me painkillers, cream and antibiotics and sent me on my way wishing me good luck, hardhead.
Well after 6 days of excruciating pain, burning, itching, bleeding, blistering feet the swelling went down. The blisters are popping my feet only itch in the morning and night. What an ordeal. I have decided that this experience has been more painful than childbirth.

As for knitting I have making some hats and practicing intarsia. I have never knitted two or more colors of yarn into a design and am finding interesting. Anyways this will probably be my last post this year. So Happy New Year and Stay Happy and Healthy in 2007! Cheers!

Merry Christmas...and my 'dogs' are barkin'

Joey

Howie

Yes, Merry Christmas to all. I say it every year. I'm finishing my shopping before Thanksgiving or else...
So I have come to the conclusion. The relatives whom I seem to forget to shop for and scrambling to get their gifts at the last minute are the lucky ones! Nothing is spared for them as the clock ticks closer to the 24th! Congratulations, Erin! You're the winner!! :))

As for my dogs, they are barkin'. My feet. Just chop them off, someone. Being in Union Square is quite a difference compared to sleepy Financial District!! At least my days run fast, and I know I'm making people happy helping them choose the 'perfect' gift for family and friends.

My knitting has been happening. I'm working on a throw for my new front room. A knnit hat just because and a headband/earband from a pattern on knitty this month.

So that's my update. Take care and stay healthy.
